Day 6 Prayer and Fasting: Praying for Miracles
God is a miracle-working God. Time and again, we have seen Him performing wondrous works in our midst, and this is only just the beginning.
When we talk about a miracle, we speak about an occurrence that takes place that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws. It is a wondrous act that defies human logic. Yes, a miracle is a supernatural event that supernaturally takes place in a natural world.
The Gospels from Genesis to Revelations describe thirty-five miracles that Jesus performed during His time here on earth. Some are about Jesus healing sick people. Others describe Jesus casting out demons from people. Howbeit, the rest of the stories show Jesus’ power over material things such as changing water into wine at the wedding in Cana, feeding a great crowd of five thousand individuals with five loaves of bread and two fish, walking on water, and calming a storm. Jesus proved that miracles were not only limited to the spiritual but could also take hold in the physical.
At the wedding in Cana, we are told that wine ran out. The wine was symbolic of honour at that time; the lack thereof meant dishonour to the family that was wedding. Jesus, therefore, changing water into wine meant restoring honour to the family. Interestingly, the Bible tells us that the new wine was more superior to the one that had been there before. These are the characteristics of a miracle! It comes to restore honour. It comes to give a better ending to your story and a more significant degree than you could have imagined! God uses miracles as a means to demonstrate power in the lives of His people.
The Bible makes it known that Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.’Christianity is a life that is filled with miracles!
“Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You because, in the same way that You did in the days of old, You are still doing miracles today. I pray as I am in the period of prayer and fasting, that You may perform a miracle in my life. Let everything that would otherwise be impossible become possible by Your Hand. I believe I shall be a partaker of the inconceivable, in Jesus’ Mighty name. Amen!”
1. Oh God, God of Major 1, any power, pressing down my head, causing me to miss my miracle, today, I shake you into the fire of God, in the name of Jesus Christ!
2. My Father, my Father, in the same way, that You turned water into wine at Cana, may You change my story from sorry to glory. From shame to fame and from lack to abundance, in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ!
3. Oh Lord, as you are working miracles in this place, remember me. My case is urgent; let my business receive miracle money today, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!
